Shopping I’ve Outgrown It sales is a great way to find barely used baby gear, clothes and toys for a steal.
For example, you can find Robeez that look brand new; Gymbouree attire at a quarter of the cost; and, Bumbo chairs in a rainbow of colours. I like to look for seasonal gear like tricycles, pools, bathing suits, sleds, rubber boots. Reusing these items is good for the environment and your pocketbook.
New to Outgrown It Sales? Make it less overwhelming with these tips:
- Make a list: Stay focused by knowing what you want to buy and your budget.
- Get there early: Baby gear will go quickly, followed by larger toys, and usually last to go is clothes.
- See it, buy it: Many people have been disappointed by shopping around to save $3.
- Cash in hand: Carry smaller denominations ($1, $2, $5, $10) so you don’t have to wait for change.
- Carry all: Bring your own shopping bag to carry your items.
- Keep kids close: Wear your child to keep them safe and so it's easier for you to maneuver.

- Team up: Go with a friend, combine your lists and team shop to find your top items quicker.
- Have fun: Remember to enjoy the hunt, be fair to the seller and keep an eye out for an unexpected gem.
