Picnic in Edmonton

The return of warm, sunny days has us thinking about packing a picnic and playing outside all day long. The kids love being outside and they sure do sleep well after breathing all that fresh air.

Step outside your backyard and explore Edmonton's green spaces - there are over 460 parks in Edmonton and the river valley has over 22 major parks. The City of Edmonton's map shows all the parks across the city, but the playground listing (including water features for the summer) is our favourite reference.

Our sister site, City and Dale, has a fabulous post on Edmonton's Best Picnic Spots and the Best Picnic Sandwiches to Pick-up. Ensure you stop over there and soak in her picnic ideas.
