What: A celebration of Edmonton’s food trucks! Eats by Carnival Cravings (cotton candy, mini donuts), Drift (gourmet sandwiches), The Lingnan (dry spicy chicken, Singapore noddles), Molly’s Eats (cowboy caviar, southern dirty rice), and so much more!
Why: Get your food before it rolls away.
Where: Victoria Promenade (100 Avenue located in between 119 Street & 121 Street)

World Wide Wonders
Servus Heritage Festival
What: A celebration and showcase of our multicultural heritage.
Why: Spend the day in the park and enjoy 63 pavilions serving up delicious ethnic foods, live performances, crafts, artwork and more.
Where: Hawrelak Park. Plan to arrive by bus, bike or on foot.
When: Saturday, August 4 (noon to 9pm), Sunday, August 5 (10am-9pm) & Monday, August 6 (10am-7pm)
Tip: Pick up your food tickets at SaveOn Foods until August 4 and don’t spend your time in the ticket line. Go straight for the good stuff.
Reel Family Cinema
What: Two great films for young families this long weekend.
Why: Short and sweet outings
- The Land Before Time on Saturday, August 4 at 12pm. Only 69 minutes long and children under 12 are free.
- Radical Recess: Avant-Garde Films for Children – a 35 min series of Canadian experimental films specifically for young children. Monday, August 6 at 2pm. Love!

Movies on the Square
What: Enjoy a free outdoor movie playing on a 3-story high inflatable screen. Friday’s show is Journey 2, The Mysterious Island. Saturday’s show is The Adventures of TIN TIN. (This is weather dependent call 311 for up-to-date info)
Why: An inexpensive and interesting family movie night out. Bring chairs, blankets, hot chocolate and popcorn and get cozy.

Fairy Berry Festival
What: A sweet party in honour of “Fairy Berries” the small, dainty and delicious strawberries.
Why: Entertainment galore. Live folk music, puppet shows, face painting, mazes, petting farm, crafts, tractor track and more.
Where: Prairie Gardens and Adventure Farm, 56311 Lily Lake Road, Bon Accord
When: Saturday, August 4 – Monday, August 6.
Get Lost For Hunger
What: Support the Edmonton Food Bank while racing through a 10 corn maze. $1 admission will be donated plus if you bring a non-perishable donation you’ll get $1 off your admission.
Why: In addition to the new-each-year maze, there is a big inflatable jumping pillow, animals to visit and hay bales to sit on and enjoy icecream.

Sesame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music
What: Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and all their Sesame Street friends are taking to the stage to share their love of music
Why: Great tunes will have the family dancing in their seats.
