Kids World @ Kaleido Family Arts Festival
What: Alberta Avenue comes alive with a free arts festival featuring music, dance, theatre, film, literary, and visual arts.
Why: Where to start?! Check out Kids World for family activities – stories, crafts and games. On Friday night watch Disney’s Tangled on a huge outdoor screen. Saturday morning go for a free pancake breakfast then enjoy all the live entertainment. Stop for a beverage in the family beer gardens. Shop the ‘Junk in your Trunk’ garage sale and the Artisan Village for treasures on Sunday. Much more on the schedule.

Reel Family Cinema
What: Afternoon showing of classic films we all adore.
Why: Showing Walk Disney’s Dumbo this Saturday. Run time is 64 minutes. Children under 12 are free.

What: A family event fundraiser for the Firefighters Burn Treatment Society (Edmonton Chapter)
Why: Buttered taber corn, fire truck tours, petting zoo, pony rides, bouncy castles and games.

When: Saturday, September 8, 2012. 12 – 5pm
In the Park
Sherwood Park Appetite
What: A fundraiser to support poverty relief in Strathcona County.
Why: Sample Sherwood Park’s local restaurants while enjoying live music. This year also has a Kids Zone.
Where: Sherwood Drive Soccer Field (across from Sherwood Park Mall) Please bring jackets, warm clothing or a cash donation to help the less fortunate in the Strathcona area.
When: Saturday, September 8, 2012 11am – 8pm.
Old Time Thrashing
Harvest of the Past & Taste of Heritage
What: A harvest celebration and opportunity to try Alberta-produced foods.
Why: Start your day with an early-bird pancake breakfast then take in the nostalgic harvest activities.
Where: Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village, 50 km east of Edmonton along Highway 16 (map)

Autumn Gardens
Fall Family Festival
What: Fun, crafts and games for the whole family in the splendor of the fall Garden.
Why: Book early to: create your very own scarecrow, build a bird feeder/ bathhouse, or make a dried flower arrangement.
