Block Party
What: Ronald McDonald House Charities® Northern Alberta is hosting a block party to thank and celebrate the community for it’s support. We went last year and had so much fun playing games, listening to live music, touring the house and checking out the fire truck. Bring a donation from their wishlist and show your kids how they can help other families.

RMHCNA at 7726-107 Street NW. Shuttle from Scona Highschool.
When:
Sunday, July 26, 2015. 11am – 7pm.

"It Takes a Village" Family Picnic

When:
 Sunday,  July 26, 2015. 11am – 2pm

Lads on the River Weekend
What: Help welcome back the York boat and the Hudson Bay Company workers to the river shore. Their arrival meant the reunion of families and the continuation of trade. Learn about the history and activities surrounding their arrival.
Where:
Fort Edmonton Park

Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, 2015. 10am – 5pm

Reel Family Cinema: Despicable Me
What: Metro Cinema brings back this much loved movie to the big screen for a fun theatre experience. Plus, kids under 12 are free and that means more money for snacks.
Plot:
A man who delights in all things wicked, supervillain Gru (Steve Carell) hatches a plan to steal the moon. Surrounded by an army of little yellow minions and his impenetrable arsenal of weapons and war machines, Gru makes ready to vanquish all who stand in his way. But nothing in his calculations and groundwork has prepared him for his greatest challenge: three adorable orphan girls
Where: Garneau Theatre, Metro Cinema
When:
Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 2pm.

Going, Going, Almost Gone!
This is also the last weekend for K-Days and Taste of Edmonton. I'm heading back to ToE later this week and I am looking forward to eating more green-onion cakes -- hopefully to be named Edmonton's official food. You can add your name to the petition here: http://greenonioncakes.com

See you out and about!
