Block Party
What: Ronald McDonald House Charities® Northern Alberta is hosting a block party to thank and celebrate the community for it’s support. We went last year and had so much fun playing games, listening to live music, touring the house and checking out the fire truck. Bring a donation from their wishlist and show your kids how they can help other families.

RMHCNA at 7726-107 Street NW. Shuttle from Scona Highschool.
When:
Sunday, July 26, 2015. 11am – 7pm.

 

"It Takes a Village" Family Picnic
What: A community picnic with lunch from the Italian Centre Shop, activities from J’Adore Dance and SportBall Edmonton, an art project from 4Cats Art Studio and more.  Brought to you by Edmonton’s Child Magazine and Box Social Event Planning.
Where:
Kinsmen, Grizzly Bear Lodge Park, Edmonton.

 Sunday,  July 26, 2015. 11am – 2pm

 

Lads on the River Weekend
What: Help welcome back the York boat and the Hudson Bay Company workers to the river shore. Their arrival meant the reunion of families and the continuation of trade. Learn about the history and activities surrounding their arrival.

Fort Edmonton Park

Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26, 2015. 10am – 5pm

 

Reel Family Cinema: Despicable Me
What: Metro Cinema brings back this much loved movie to the big screen for a fun theatre experience. Plus, kids under 12 are free and that means more money for snacks.
Plot:
A man who delights in all things wicked, supervillain Gru (Steve Carell) hatches a plan to steal the moon. Surrounded by an army of little yellow minions and his impenetrable arsenal of weapons and war machines, Gru makes ready to vanquish all who stand in his way. Going, Going, Almost Gone!
