Alley of Light
What: An alley transformed into a creative destination with music, lantern making, painting and a film screening (This is Berlin, Not New York).
Why: It’s these types of events that make Edmonton’s downtown sparkle.
Where: In an Alley! (1/2 a block North of Jasper Ave, between Beaver Hills House Park and 103 Street). Full schedule.

Shake the Lake

What: A 3-day action sports and music festival with lots of kid friendly activities.
Why:  Head south to watch BMX and Skateboard competition/demo, listen to bands and play in the kidzone. You can also splash in the lake, ride Wild Rapids and savour an ice cream cone from Big Moo Ice Cream Parlor.
